Bogotá offers optimum golf practicing conditions:
ideal climate, light wind and 2,600 m. altitude
making the ball fly higher. The sport is usually
practiced in private clubs (Country Club, Los
Lagartos, El Rancho Country Club, Guaymaral Country
Club and Carmel Country Club). Near the Presidents
house on Central North Road Hato Grande Golf Club,
and Military Golf Club, Pueblo Viejo, La Sabana
Country Club, Bogotá Golf Club are located
and to the west of the city facing the town of
Funza, San Andrés Golf Club and el Serrezuela
Golf Club. Golf is also plaid at La Florida Popular
Golf Club, located in La Florida Park fields.
Each club pays an open golf tournament and each
year Colombia Open takes place, most of the time
in Bogotá and surrounding and also the
National Professionals Championship.

Tennis championships are usually plaid in private
clubs. The most important international tennis
tournament taking place in Bogotá is Colsánitas
Cup, associated to Professional Women
World Circuit. The championship has grown up to
Tier III Type plaid at the Colombian Academy of
Tennis between February 15 and 28.
The two most important tournaments are Colombia
circuit taking place every year between January
and February at High Performance Center Courts
Campín courts, and the District Torunament
organized by the Tennis League. Plaid in El Salitre
sports unit courts.

Bogotá Half
Marathon: Roadrunner Association of Colombia
organizes International Bogotá Half Marathon
as part of Bogotá birthday celebration.
Roadrunners invites the best American, European
and Asian long distance runners. The track starting
at Bolívar Plaza ends at Simón Bolívar
Park, and host athletes run next of long distance
runners from all over the world.

Six Hours Doria Motor
ACC: Competition with the participation
of pilots from many countries. Usually run the
first Saturday in December from three in the afternoon
to finish about nine o’clock at night.
Doria Prize is a car race including speed and
resistance by distances, series or times.
The category depends on the type of engine used.
The prize is adjusted to National Sports Regulations
and is becoming the most important car event in
Colombia; consists in six races. Each race has
a different name and structure.

 Track
Omnium: takes place Luis Carlos
Galán de Bogotá velodrome between
February 28 and March 2 each year and includes
different bicycle track modalities. Some are:
speed, Olympic speed, score competition, individual
and team persecution. Different country leagues
teams take part as invited by the Federation.

Summer Festival
Speed Competitions: This event
takes place in August, within Bogotá
anniversary festivities. Track modality race
at Luis Carlos Galán velodrome and circuit
route modality for a maximum two kilometers
distance through various city streets. National
and international racers invited by Bogotá
Cycle racing league take part.
