The are of great landscape interest. Majestic
tutelary city hills Monserrate and Guadalupe,
from part of the mountain range bordering east
Sabana de Bogotá at Andean mountain range.
Mechanical access tickets to Monserrate are acquired
at the funicular station located at Carrera 2
East and Calle 21. The trip crosses thick eucalyptus
forests. The panoramic view from the top of the
mountain is spectacular. On the top of the hill
the Sanctuary housing the image of the Fallen
Lord of Monserrate.
Restaurants located on the top of the hill
offer excellent dishes. Santa Clara and Casa
San Isidro. The first specialized in French
cuisine, is located in a republican style house
mobilized from Usaquén to the hill, the
second offers Santa Fe style food. City sight
at night is fascinating; mechanical access to
restaurants during night hours is possible by
booking in advance.
