Designed
by architect Alberto Manrique Martín and built from 1923 to 1926.
A three-floor structure applying neoclassic composition standards, that
is, a basement or first cushioned body where two large windows and doors
are placed below reduced arches.
Broken first third shank columns receive semi-circular entablement with
open front to hold stone carved shield of Colombia. Front moldings end in
rolls or volutes with two sculptures resting on its branches.
The second floor is double height. The building has now a fourth floor,
and second floor windows design was changed. Inside some additions respecting
ornamentation type. In addition to offices the building houses the Police
Museum. |
