The school houses Páramo
Museum, a collection of Jesuit Santiago Páramo’s and some anonymous
XIX century works. Although school origin dates back to 1604 when Company
of Jesus priests acquired a couple of homes to operate the school the following
year, this building was last restored in 1989 by La Candelaria Corporation.
The convent currently consists of Toscana stone columns supporting half
point arch in the first floor. At the corner of calle tenth a small square
greets visitors entering the place.
